Position Summary:
The AdmissionCare Clinical Executive will be responsible for serving as the clinical subject matter expert (SME) for our AdmissionCare product. This role will work very closely with our product, analytics, implementation, and client success teams to assure that AdmissionCare is delivering a product that is efficient within the clinician's workflow and offering measurable value realization for our health system clients.
The ideal candidate will have a clinical background with a strong understanding of patient bed status determinations, utilization review processes, bed status conversions, and denials. Must have experience with analyzing data, generating insights, and building reports to drive key UR/RCM initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Product
- Product Feedback: Gather, analyze, and communicate product feedback and feature requests based on client needs, ensuring the product evolves to meet clinical demands.
- Work collaboratively with the AdmissionCare Product Owner as a clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to give product suggestions, relay feedback received during engagement with users/clients to contribute to the evolution of the AdmissionCare product.
Analytics
- Data Analysis: Work closely with the data and analytics teams to dig into client data, identifying trends or areas of concern, and providing clinical context to insights.
- Proficiency and Denials Expertise: leverage your clinical expertise to digest KPIs and metrics to support deeper dives into bed status determinations, denials, ROI, and proficient clinician utilization of AdmissionCare.
- Clinical Analytics Feedback: Identify and escalate clinically relevant reporting needs, providing actionable feedback to improve analytics and reporting functionalities.
Client Success
- Partner with VP of Client Success to design and implement a scalable clinical support model, inclusive of go-lives, ongoing client cadences, and on-demand support.
- Key Client Meetings: Assist the Client Success Team by providing clinical expertise during client meetings.
- Clinical Insights Playbook: responsible for creating, educating, and scaling the playbook that the Client Success Team uses to analyze client data and share results with clients. This may include trends across hospitals, physicians, diagnosis, and payers on bed status determinations (Inpatient vs. Observation), conversions, and denials.
Implementation
- Workflow Discovery Sessions: participate in client workflow discovery sessions on current admission processes to understand their current state, gaps, and needs to ensure seamless implementation of AdmissionCare into their existing workflows.
- Go-Live Support: Assist onsite as a clinical expert during go-live events, providing expertise and guidance to clients as they begin utilizing AdmissionCare.
Training Development
- Training Strategy: work with Clinical Product Educator to develop and execute training strategies.
- Training Scenario Creation: assist Clinical Product Educator with creation of clinical training scenarios based on client-specific issues, user behaviors, and clinical requirements.
Clinical Support & Issue Resolution
- Clinical Question Responses: support the client success team with responding to clinical inquiries from clients, including clarifying issues raised by users and clients.
AdmissionCare Clinical Advisory Group (AC CAG)
- AC CAG is a group of client clinical, UR/RCM, IT, and operational stakeholders that meets every quarter to serve as a forum for client feedback and engagement.
- Provide clinical expertise in the AdmissionCare Clinical Advisory Group (AC CAG), ensuring that best practices are consistently delivered to clients, new product features are identified, and attributable value is generated.
Assumptions:
- Maintain awareness of the health care industry and trends in utilization management, revenue cycle, payer, and regulatory updates to inform AdmissionCare strategic initiatives.
- Invest in effective working relationships with EvidenceCare team members and clients.
- Attend to the needs of internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate accountability of being a self-motivated team player that works under little supervision, with strong organizational, management, and analytical skills to effectively execute on deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a clinical field (Nursing, Physician, Healthcare Administration).
- At least 3 years clinical experience.
- Experience and understanding of utilization management, case management, and/or revenue cycle processes.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data from a UR/RCM perspective and pull together a narrative using a data story.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain clinical/UR/RCM concepts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams to solve complex client needs.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
- Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize/manage workload.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving client needs and priorities.
- Fluent with Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) as well as BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
