Position Summary:

We are looking for a quality engineer who can help us ensure that our applications are reliably delivering the value they promise, and that our deployments are consistently taking the products forward without regression issues. This will entail a blend of manual and automated testing. We’re eager to shift more and more to automated testing over time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead EvidenceCare’s Product Quality efforts both completing Manual Testing, and incrementally implementing automated testing
  • Work tightly with the Product and Engineering teams to deeply understand product requirements, expected functionality and the implemented technology
  • Develop a deep understanding of the value provided by EvidenceCare products and the expected user experience that will drive that value
  • Take Ownership for identifying, prioritizing and resolving issues with our clinical software
  • Assess and anticipate risks; be proactive in mitigating potential future issues

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Ideal candidates will have a degree in software engineering, information systems, computer science, data science, statistics or other related discipline
  • Ability and interest in developing new testing frameworks, improving test quality
  • Committed to ensuring clinical end users see correct data and have the best possible user experience
  • Proven track record for successfully maintaining application quality

Experience:

  • Writing SQL queries for data analysis and data quality review.
  • Working with clinical software, EHR/EMRs, and interface engines.
  • Familiarity with healthcare standards, especially HL7/FHIR, and healthcare codesets (e.g., LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, ICD-10).
  • API designs, web services, RESTful APIs, XML, JSON, and SOAP.
  • Writing automated test scripts using tools like Postman, Playwright, Selenium, etc.
